Terms of Service

Last Updated: September 6, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using GiftZO (the "Platform"), operated by GiftZO Technologies Pvt. Ltd., you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be a resident of India and at least 18 years of age to register an account or transact on the Platform. By initiating a transaction, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Account Registration & Safety

To access certain features, including balance withdrawals and history, you may create an account. If you transact as a guest, your account details and balance are saved in your local browser storage. Clearing browser data or changing devices will result in permanent loss of access unless your account is upgraded to a registered status.

4. Gift Card Selling Rules

When selling a gift card on GiftZO:

  • You represent that you are the sole and legitimate owner of the gift card.
  • The card code provided must be fully active, valid, and loaded with the exact face value specified.
  • Stolen, cloned, or fraudulently obtained gift cards are strictly prohibited. Such submissions will be flagged, reported to law enforcement agencies, and the associated accounts will be permanently banned.

5. Live Quotes & Rates

All payout quotes displayed in our Sell Wizard are calculated in real-time based on current demand. The payout rate shown at the time of your card code submission is locked and guaranteed for that transaction, provided the card verifies successfully.

6. Verification & Payout Timelines

Each gift card code undergoes automated and manual verification. Payouts are initiated once validation completes successfully.

Payout times start from 15 minutes. Any time stated on the Platform, including in marketing material, describes the fastest processing we are able to offer for a straightforward, low-value transaction that clears verification on the first attempt. It is an indicative starting point and not a guaranteed, committed or contractual delivery time for any particular transaction.

A transaction may instead be placed into extended review. This applies where, among other things, the payout amount is high, it is the first payout on an account, the account or submission matches a risk pattern, the card issuer or merchant applies its own verification, source verification under clause 8 is required, or bank and payment-network processing is delayed. Where a transaction enters extended review, completion may take between 7 and 30 business days from the date of submission.

We will tell you in your dashboard where a transaction is under extended review. Timelines that depend on a third party — a card issuer, a merchant, a bank, a payment network or a public authority — are outside our control, and we are not liable for delay attributable to them.

7. Invalid, Fraudulent or Compromised Cards

A balance credited to your account on submission of a gift card is provisional. It becomes final only once the card has been fully verified and the associated payout has completed. Crediting a balance is not an acceptance that a card is valid.

We may withhold payment, place a hold on your account, cancel the transaction, and reverse any balance already credited where a card is found to be invalid, expired, inactive, already redeemed, carrying a balance lower than declared, locked or restricted by the issuer, reported lost or stolen, obtained by fraud or without the owner's authority, subject to a chargeback or payment reversal, or otherwise not as you represented it under clause 4. This applies whether the defect is identified before or after a balance has been credited to you.

A hold applied under this clause remains in place for as long as the investigation requires. Where an issuer, merchant, bank or public authority is involved, we cannot commit to a resolution time. We will tell you that a hold has been applied and the general reason for it, subject to any legal or investigative restriction on what we may disclose.

Where a payout has already been released to you in respect of a card that is subsequently found to be defective or unlawfully obtained, the amount paid becomes immediately repayable to us as a debt. We may set that amount off against any balance in your account, withhold future payouts up to that amount, suspend or close the account, and pursue recovery. Where a card appears to have been obtained unlawfully we may report the matter, together with the account and transaction records, to the relevant authorities.

If you believe a hold or reversal under this clause is mistaken, contact us using the details in clause 14 and we will review it.

8. Source Verification & Withdrawal Holds

To keep the marketplace safe, we may ask you to confirm where a gift card you sold came from. This happens where a submission looks unusual to us — for example a high-value card, several cards in quick succession, or a code that has been seen before. A request for proof is a routine check and is not an accusation.

When we make such a request, we will place a temporary hold on withdrawals from your account and tell you which cards are affected and why. Your balance remains yours and stays visible in your dashboard throughout; only the ability to withdraw is paused. Selling further cards is not restricted.

We may ask for a purchase receipt, an order or transaction reference, the date of purchase, or a screenshot showing where the card came from. If you received the card as a gift, reward or survey payout and have no order reference, simply tell us that — we will assess what you are able to provide.

We aim to review submitted proof within 48 hours and release the hold as soon as the card clears. Where proof is not provided, or where a card is found to have been obtained unlawfully, we may decline the payout for that card, reverse the credited amount, suspend the account, and where required report the matter to the relevant authorities. You may contact us at any time to dispute a hold.

9. Minimum Withdrawal Thresholds

A minimum withdrawal threshold applies to every account. A withdrawal request below the threshold in force for your account at the time of the request will not be accepted. The applicable figure is displayed to you in your dashboard before you confirm any withdrawal, and no request is submitted until you have seen it.

Thresholds are set at our discretion and are not fixed. The standard minimum withdrawal is ₹100, while accounts with a balance of ₹100 or less may withdraw any balance from ₹1. We may apply a higher threshold of up to ₹1,000 to an account, and we may recalculate the applicable figure at any time, including between one withdrawal and the next. Where an elevated threshold applies, it may be determined by reference to the balance held in the account at the time of the request plus a margin of ₹200, subject to the ₹1,000 maximum. We may also set an account-specific threshold above these figures where circumstances warrant it.

Thresholds exist to protect the marketplace and its users. In setting them we take account of factors including fraud and chargeback risk, the verification workload associated with an account's submissions, patterns of account activity, payout processing capacity, and periods of elevated withdrawal volume across the platform. They are an operational control on the timing and size of payouts and are not a fee, deduction or forfeiture: your balance remains yours in full, stays visible in your dashboard, and is not reduced, expired or withheld by the operation of a threshold.

Once a payout to your account has been verified and completed by us, the standard minimum withdrawal of ₹100 will apply to your account for subsequent withdrawals, unless an account-specific threshold has separately been set under the paragraph above.

We may revise the figures stated in this clause. Any revision takes effect when published in these Terms, and your continued use of the platform after publication constitutes acceptance of the revised figures. If you believe a threshold has been applied to your account in error, you may contact us using the details in clause 14.

10. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or close an account, restrict withdrawals, or decline to process a submission where we reasonably believe that these Terms have been breached, that a card has been obtained unlawfully or misrepresented, that the account is operating more than one identity or is being used on behalf of another person without disclosure, that requested verification has not been provided, or that continuing would expose us, our payment partners or other users to legal or financial risk.

Where we suspend an account we will tell you, and any balance properly earned and fully verified remains payable to you subject to these Terms. Balances arising from cards found to be invalid or unlawfully obtained are not payable and may be reversed under clause 7. You may close your account at any time by contacting us; closure does not extinguish an obligation that arose before it.

11. Liability & Indemnity

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for loss arising from events outside our reasonable control, including acts of a card issuer, merchant, bank, payment network or public authority, network or infrastructure failure, or any event of force majeure.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity or loss of data. Our total liability to you in connection with any transaction is limited to the payout amount properly due to you in respect of that transaction. Nothing in this clause limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

You agree to indemnify us against any loss, claim, penalty or cost we incur arising from your breach of these Terms, from any card you submit that is invalid, misrepresented or unlawfully obtained, or from a claim brought by a third party in respect of a card you submitted.

12. Grievance Redressal

In accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, complaints regarding the Platform may be addressed to our Grievance Officer:

We will acknowledge a complaint within 48 hours of receipt and endeavour to resolve it within one month. Please include your registered email address and the relevant transaction reference so that we can locate your records.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
